Snoring & Mouth Guards in Hale & Altrincham

Protect your teeth. Improve your sleep. Reduce disruption.

Snoring can affect both your quality of sleep and your overall health. In some cases, persistent snoring may be linked to a condition known as obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep.

While not all snoring indicates sleep apnoea, ongoing or severe snoring should be assessed. Early identification is important, and we can help determine whether further medical evaluation may be required.

In addition to sleep-related appliances, we also provide custom-made mouth guards to protect teeth from grinding and sports injuries.

Snoring & Sleep Appliances

Mandibular Advancement Splints (MAS)

A mandibular advancement splint is a custom-made oral appliance worn at night. It works by gently repositioning the lower jaw forward to help keep the airway open during sleep.

This can:

  • Reduce snoring

  • Improve airflow

  • Help manage mild to moderate sleep apnoea (when medically appropriate)

  • Improve sleep quality for both you and your partner

If we suspect sleep apnoea, we may recommend medical referral for proper diagnosis before treatment.

Mouth Guards

We provide professionally fitted mouth guards tailored to your needs..

Night Guards (Grinding / Clenching)

Teeth grinding (bruxism) can cause:

  • Tooth wear

  • Cracks and fractures

  • Jaw pain

  • Headaches

  • Sensitive teeth

A custom night guard protects your teeth by absorbing pressure and reducing strain on the jaw joints.

Sports Guards (Clear or Coloured)

Sports mouth guards help protect teeth during physical activity.

Custom-made guards offer:

  • Better fit than over-the-counter versions

  • Improved comfort

  • Greater protection

  • Reduced risk of dental injury

They are available in clear or coloured options.

Fluoride Applications

Fluoride strengthens enamel and helps reduce the risk of tooth decay.

Professional fluoride treatments are especially beneficial for:

  • Children

  • Patients at higher risk of decay

  • Those with enamel erosion or sensitivity

Fissure Sealants

Fissure sealants are protective coatings applied to the grooves of back teeth, commonly in children and teenagers.

They help:

  • Prevent food and bacteria from collecting in deep grooves

  • Reduce the risk of decay in molars
