Invisalign works by applying controlled force on your teeth to move their positioning over time, so if your underbite is a result of out of place teeth then Invisalign can work to fix this. You should never smoke with Invisalign as the nicotine and chemicals can cause the Invisalign aligner to deform. With alcohol, you shouldn’t drink red or white wines whilst you have an Invisalign aligner in as this could cause staining on the aligner, with any other drinks we recommend you remove the aligner when drinking any alcohol.
Invisalign will work even if you have a crown as the tooth will still act and move just like a real tooth. The clear aligner trays are custom created to the shape of your teeth and that will include your crowns.
Invisalign treatment will quickly align your teeth over a 6 to 8 month period, but after this period we recommend you keep wearing your aligners to prevent a relapse. A lot of our customers tend to wear their aligners when they go to bed after finishing the course to keep their teeth straight and aligned.
